We partnered with Daikin U.S. to create an American online presence for the World's No. 1 air conditioning company.

Challenge

Daikin is a globally known HVAC&R company that is revolutionizing the industry. While  relatively unknown to the American audience, we were honored to have the task of introducing them. We helped explain the scale and impact of their presence in the U.S. and spread the word about their future innovations and environmental commitment. We continue to help adjust their positioning for key American audiences for businesses, legislators, and the environmentally conscious. 

Strategy

Daikin has a large existing infrastructure within the U.S. and a significant portfolio of American brands. With an impressive worldwide reputation for sustainable heating and cooling, we needed the American audience to understand the scale and quality of Daikin. One key audience for the website was U.S. lawmakers and high ranking legislative officials - as an important group of messaging to communicate Daikin's scale and commitment to sustainability in a perceived "dirty industry." We are helping explain the difference Daikin is dedicated to making, while succinctly explaining the complex technology of their products so any visitor to the site can understand. 

Design

We worked closely with Daikin to push existing brand standards and guidelines to a place where we could tell the story of Daikin's design style while striving to customize the brand for an American audience. Part of our design goals were to immerse the user in the content, using beautiful imagery, contemporary typography and modular design practices to tell the story of Daikin's history, Daikin's current brand, and their commitment to the future.

We built Daikin's website as a module builder to give the team ultimate flexibility on this large and ever growing website. We created a system of modules that could work together in any order for any page to create entirely custom pages that still feel cohesive.

We are fortunate to partner with a team that has vision and impact on an unprecedented scale. As we help Daikin introduce their brand to homes across the U.S., we are excited to see where our partnership will take us one initiative at a time.
